ARCHITECTURE CULTURE & HISTORY 1 (ARC 1313)
Project: Precedent Study
Task 1: Essay
Students are required to produced a 500 words essay which can include images, sketches or diagrams to fit maximum 5 A4-size papers of the chosen building on its design ideas and significant contribution to its culture.
Task 2: Analysis Presentation Board
Students are required to produce an A2-size analysis presentation board of the building they at the first time. The analysis board should include the concept analysis, building massing analysis, circulation analysis spatial organization analysis and also building section analysis.
Task 3: Model
Students in a group should built an analysis model of the building they selected during the first time.

Throughout the whole semester, I had gained a lot of knowledge of the historical building and also the culture of different eras and regions from the lectures and also the assignments. I had learnt that how important the culture of a country affect the the concept and also the content of designing a building. I am also able to classify the sequence of historical periods and how they are represented architecturally.
